Privacy Policy

Camera. When you tap to share a gem, you can take a photo. The camera turns on only at that moment and a photo is captured only when you press the shutter. We never record audio or video.

Photos. You may instead upload a photo from your library. Your library is accessed only when you pick a photo to share.

Location.When you tap “Locate me,” follow your position on the map, or tag a gem's spot, we read your device location. It is used only while the app is open. We do not track you in the background.

Account & content. If you sign in, we store your name, username, email and the gems, captions and messages you choose to create.

To show the map, display and share the gems you post, center the map on you, tag locations you ask us to, answer your questions through our guide Allen, and keep you signed in. That's it — no advertising profiles, no selling data to third parties.

Camera, photos and location are all opt-in. The app explains why before your device asks, and works without them — you can still browse, read and plan. You can change or revoke any permission anytime in your device Settings.

We use trusted providers to run Aller. They process only what's needed for their function:

• Anthropic (Claude) — powers Allen; your messages are sent to generate replies.
• Supabase — stores the gems, comments and chats you create.
• OpenStreetMap — provides map tiles and, if you tag a location, suggests a nearby place name.
• Resend — delivers email you send through the contact form.
• Vercel — hosts the app.
• PostHog & Vercel Analytics — privacy-friendly, aggregate usage analytics so we can see what's useful and fix problems. Not used to build advertising profiles.

We keep essential data in your browser's local storage to sign you in, remember your preferences, and hold your saved plansand bookmarks on your device. Our analytics (above) are aggregate and product- focused — we don't sell data or build ad profiles. You can wipe everything stored on your device from Settings.

You can edit or reset your profile, clear your saved gems, and wipe all data stored on your device from Settings. To delete your account and the content tied to it, contact us and we'll remove it. Depending on where you live (including under GDPR and similar laws), you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data.

Aller is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
